Moscone Center Expansion Project

Join Joe D'Alessandro, President & CEO, San Francisco Travel for an informative presentation on the Moscone Center Expansion Project. 

This presentation will cover:

  • Project plans for the $56 million expansion of the Moscone Center
  • Timeline and public/private financing information
  • Update on the San Francisco tourism industry

Joe D'Alessandro
Mr. D'Alessandro was appointed president and CEO of San Francisco Travel in July 2006. D'Alessandro has led efforts to reinvent the 100-year-old organization, including restructuring the organization and in 2009 driving the establishment of the innovative and unprecedented funding mechanism, the San Francisco Tourism Improvement District. Prior to San Francisco Travel, D'Alessandro was the president & CEO of the Portland, Oregon Visitors Association (POVA). D'Alessandro serves on the Executive Committee of the U.S. Travel Association, and was appointed to the board of Visit California by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. D'Alessandro studied at California State University, Sacramento.
