The Small Business Issues Forum provides a monthly venue for small business owners to meet, share information and educate one another. The central focus is on issues pertinent to operating, maintaining and growing a small business in San Francisco. All small business owners who are Chamber members are invited to attend to discuss their concerns.

The New 401(k) Fee Disclosure Rules
Are you prepared for the fee disclosure rules? The deadline for compliance with the Department of Labor’s final rules covering enhanced retirement plan fee disclosures at both the fiduciary and participant level is here. These rules will have a significant impact on the disclosure obligations of both retirement plan sponsors and service providers. Come learn more about the disclosure obligations at both the fiduciary and participant level, including what information needs to be collected and disclosed, how the information must be relayed to participants, key actions plan sponsors and service providers should be taking now in order to comply, and what plan sponsors should do if a service provider fails to provide required information.

Molly Knapp is Managing Director in Northern California for MassMutual Retirement Services. Knapp has been in the group and retirement plan industry over 22 years with 16 of those years in the retirement plan industry. Knapp is a member of Wester Pension and Benefits Conference and a Registered Representative of NML Investors Services, Inc. Knapp resides in Novato, California with her family.
The Small Business Issues Forum meets from 12 – 1:30 pm every first Wednesday of the month in the Chamber Bay Room. Attendees are invited to bring lunch.This is a free event for Chamber members.
